Bowling Green Clubhouse Metal Roof Restoration — Bristol

I was asked to restore and protect the metal roof of a bowling green clubhouse in Bristol. Replacing the entire roof would have involved substantial cost and disruption, so the aim was to retain the existing roof and give it a durable new protective finish. I prepared the surface, completed repairs and local priming where required, then spray applied Alltimes Coatings Advantage® 20 for Metal Roofs to the specified system. The project gave the clubhouse roof a fresh appearance and renewed protection without unnecessary replacement.

Before work began

Original condition

The existing clubhouse roof had been exposed to the weather and needed cleaning, attention to areas requiring repair, and a renewed protective coating. Before application, I assessed the metal roof and identified the preparation and local priming needed to provide a suitable surface for the new system. The work focused on restoring a roof that could remain in service rather than replacing it solely because its existing finish had become tired.

The Apex standard

Preparation

I thoroughly cleaned the roof to remove surface contamination before applying the new coating. Areas requiring repair were dealt with, and primer was applied where necessary as part of the specified system. I then checked that the prepared surfaces were suitable for coating and spray applied the finish in accordance with the product specification. This preparation was essential to achieving an even finish and giving the protective coating the best possible foundation.

Completed finish

The result

The completed spray coating gave the bowling green clubhouse roof a clean, consistent appearance and a continuous protective finish designed to resist weathering and corrosion. By restoring the existing metal roof, I helped extend its useful life and avoided the immediate cost and disruption of replacing otherwise serviceable roof sheets. The Advantage® 20 system also gives the client the benefit of a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to its terms.
