Every project begins with an assessment of the substrate, existing coating and site conditions. The exact preparation and coating specification is then matched to the work required. For exterior work, UV-resistant systems are specified where appropriate to help reduce fading and preserve the colour and appearance for longer.

We review the roof material, existing finish, corrosion, sheet edges, fixings and visible defects before recommending coating work. Sound existing metal roofing can be a candidate for protective refurbishment. Severely deteriorated sheets or defects that cannot be resolved by the specified system need separate repairs. Cleaning, drying, preparation and compatible priming come before the protective coating.
Roof area, safe access, condition, repairs, cut-edge treatment and the specified system determine the quotation. Weather and the manufacturer's application conditions also affect the programme. Send roof photographs, approximate dimensions, known leak locations and previous coating details where available. A survey may be needed before scope and any warranty terms can be confirmed.
Apex refurbished a bowling green clubhouse metal roof using Advantage® 20 for Metal Roofs by Alltimes Coatings. The work included cleaning, repairs where required, priming and coating in the system's standard grey. That project carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty; warranty availability and conditions must be confirmed for each proposed roof and specification.
No. The roof and source of any leaks need assessment. Structural deterioration, damaged sheets or other defects may require separate repairs before a coating system is appropriate.
